Categories of cancer


The Tumor is identified by the network of origin, where they were growing. The suffix "oma" is usually added to the term infected cells to identify a cancer (Corwin 2001). Some general categories namely, Cancer Carcinoma is the cancer of epithelial tissues, including skin cells, testicles, ovaries, pituitary gland producing melanin-producing cells, mucous, breast, cervical, colon, rectum, stomach, esophageal and pancreatic. Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymph tissue includes the lymph capillaries, lacteal, spleen, lymph glands and vessels of various lymph. The thymus and bone marrow can also be affected. Specific Lymphoma among
Hodgkin's disease is another (cancer of the lymph glands and spleen) and Lymphoma maligned. Leukemia is a cancer of the bone marrow where blood the rear produces abnormal white blood cells which urges out of cells normal white blood, red blood cells and platelets. Sarcoma is a cancer connective tissue, including the cells that are found in the muscles and bones (Escott 2008). Glioma cancer cells are glia (support) in the order of the central nervous. Carcinoma in situ is a term used to describe abnormal epithelial cells still limited in certain areas that are considered prainvasif lesions (Corwin 2001).
